A Love Story 25 Years in the Making
While the wedding itself may have been low-key, the relationship is anything but new. Janet and Peter have been romantically linked since 1999, quietly building a life away from the spotlight â until now.
Fans immediately flooded social media with messages praising Janetâs confidence, independence and refusal to follow societyâs rules about age, love and marriage.
 Four Marriages, No Regrets
Janetâs romantic past is as headline-grabbing as her present.
She married her first husband Tim Street-Porter at just 19, before going on to wed publisher Tony Elliot, filmmaker Frank Cvitanovich, and later David Sorkin â a marriage she previously admitted was sparked by a midlife crisis.
She has never shied away from speaking honestly about love, men, or why she chose not to have children â once famously declaring:
âI wouldnât swap a smart man for a toddler or a goldfish.â
