TV presenter Fearne Cotton has finally lifted the lid on her painful split from husband Jesse Wood, delivering an emotional confession that stunned viewers and sparked headlines. The broadcaster, 43, spoke openly for the first time on national television about the end of her decade-long marriage — and the personal battles she was fighting away from the cameras, including surgery to remove two benign tumours from her jaw.
Fearne and Jesse, son of Rolling Stones bassist Ronnie Wood, announced their separation in December after ten years together. Yet until now, she has remained silent about the heartbreak and betrayal behind the decision.
Appearing on ITV’s Lorraine, Fearne revealed that while this past year has been overwhelming, she is finally beginning to heal.
“It’s been intense,” she admitted, fighting back tears. “But I’m in a good place today — grateful, healthy, and surrounded by the right people.”
“I Will Never Forgive Them”
For the first time, Fearne addressed the emotional fallout of her breakup — and the betrayal she says cut the deepest.
During the interview, she revealed she may never forgive Jesse, or the woman she says pushed him toward betrayal — a woman she once considered a friend.
“I will never forgive him and the woman who made him betray me… she was my friend, and they did that,” she said, leaving the audience silent.
Her honesty triggered an outpouring of support online, with fans praising her bravery in “finally telling her truth.”
Finding Strength After Trauma

Despite the heartbreak, Fearne is determined to move forward — crediting her children, Rex and Honey, and close friend Davina McCall for helping her rebuild.
Fearne also opened up about her recent surgery, explaining that two tumours were unexpectedly discovered during a routine scan, forcing her into major surgery just days before news of the split became public.
“I thought it was a minor issue, then it became serious. Please check your lumps — it could save you,” she urged.
A New Beginning
As she works through the pain, Fearne has quietly found happiness again with TV director Elliot Hegarty. The pair were recently seen enjoying a night out in Soho, holding hands and sharing a gentle kiss.
Meanwhile, Jesse has reportedly moved on with former actress Gemma Gregory — who once contributed to Fearne’s own Happy Place podcast — a twist many fans found surprising.
Reclaiming Her Life
Fearne says she is now focused on rediscovering joy: dinners with friends, laughter, freedom, and new adventures.
“I’ve missed having fun,” she shared. “In my 40s, I want more of it. Life is too short not to.”
While betrayal still lingers, she insists she chooses healing over revenge.
“When everything falls apart, you can still rebuild something beautiful,” she said. “I’m stronger than I’ve ever been.”
