Ford is facing one of the most challenging chapters in its modern history. After reporting a staggering $11.1 billion quarterly loss — the largest since 2008 — CEO Jim Farley delivered a candid message that has sparked widespread discussion.

The company lost $4.8 billion on EVs last year and doesn’t predict breaking even on EVs until 2029.
