World Darts Championship crowd’s offensive chant drowned out by Sky Sports during Luke Littler vs Gian van Veen final
Videos on social media remain with the chant clearly audible
IT’S a good job the Alexandra Palace crowd is so loud – especially if you’re the Prime Minister.
Luke Littler smashed Gian van Veen to win the PDC World Darts Championship after a superb 7-1 victory in front of a raucous crowd.

Only a few legs into the first set and the Prime Minister would have been advised to have turned over his TV channel.
The “Keir Starmer’s a w***er” song made a reappearance from the 3,300-capacity crowd in North London.
Sky Sports did their best to curtail the chant for viewers at home before it took over the show.
Fans certainly noticed on social media, though.
One commented on Starmer’s recent tweet: “Singing about you at the darts x”
Another posted: “Yer da goes to the World Darts Championship final to sing Keir Starmer’s a w*****.”
Another fan seemingly enjoying it posted: “Starmer is popular at the darts.”
Starmer is hardly the most popular PM in history right now given the difficult economic conditions in the UK right now.
In fact, according to YouGov, 18 percent of Britons have a favourable opinion of Keir Starmer, his lowest to date as Labour leader.
Back to darts – van Veen took the first set after capitalising on some missed doubles from Littler, but the world number one fought back from two legs down in the next set to even the score.
Despite being on the receiving end of boos after his win over Rob Cross, Littler was showered in love from Ally Pally after winning the second set.
The crowd sung: “Walking along, singing a song, walking in a Littler wonderland.”
Good to see the crowd have forgiven Littler’s outburst at them earlier in the tournament. Keir Starmer isn’t so lucky.
